Henk Botes a well known guitarist, entertainer and singer in Pretoria and surrounding areas captivates Cat Stevens’ fans during a two hour performance.

This production has been staged for 12 years and can boast with sold out performances at the Performer Theatre, Centurion Theatre, White River Barnyard theatre, Bella Vida Theatre, Bloemendal Theatre in Cape Town. and many other popular venues.

Henk has received superb reviews during the past years. Henk “de Kat” entertains the audience with the Cat Stevens’ spirit rolling through the theatre- and paying tribute to one of the best musicians of all time.  This show promises to be unforgettable.

Cat Stevens has had a big influence on Henk’s music career and this Tribute has proved to be a great hit.

Henk grew up in Rustenburg and his father, Jan, was the main inspiration to his love of music. Besides Henk playing SA schools cricket he also developed a love for music.  He got his first guitar at the age of 10 and taught himself to play.

Henk’s career started in 1996. He played with Danie Visser and had a band called Nemisis and performed at various venues in Gauteng.  In 1998 he performed at a variety of venues in Cape Town  In 2000 Henk returned to Gauteng and formed a two piece band with Meyer Geldenhuys.  Henk then met up with Johan De lange and they are now popular performers at different venues in Pretoria, Witbank, Nelspruit and Johannesburg.  They have also been handpicked by the Round Tablers to perform at their big charity events.
