There is dinner theatre… and then there is Algoa FM’s Unplugged & Uncorked!, the perfect blend of great food and soulful music.
After a successful launch in Port Elizabeth, TwoTone Music’s new concept show Unplugged & Uncorked! , is ready to take Jeffreys Bay by storm! This unique event features local food celeb, Charl Leslie (Algoa FM’s ‘Charl Cooks’), and the versatile TwoTone Show Band .
On Friday 16 September, Potter’s Place in Jeffreys Bay will host this tasty venture which seats only a limited amount of guests and promises to be a show with a difference.
The acoustic show features bare-bones renditions of popular songs across various genres by diverse artists such as Van Morrison, Eric Clapton, Michael Buble, Bob Dylan, Sting, Norah Jones, U2 and Adele.
Charl will thrill audiences with his descriptions of how the delicious treats were created, after which patrons can tuck into their very own gourmet snack box. Charl is also catering for any special dietary needs patrons may have so everyone will leave feeling more than satisfied!
Joining director Ulagh Williams on stage will be TwoTone’s very own guitar hero Creshwell October, Cape Town based TwoTone veteran Romy Brauteseth (bass) and vocalist Iain McLaggan. From blues to folk, jazz to rock anthems, this show is suitable for all ages and audience participation is a prerequisite!
Tickets cost R150 (including Charl’s gourmet snack box) and can be booked at Potter’s Place: (042) 293 2500. Bookings close at 5pm the previous day to allow for catering. No tickets will be sold at the door. The show starts at 8pm and there is a cash bar on-site.
